Every Monday night our sleepy little seaside town is invaded by hundreds of bikers. Fylde Bike Meet has been running for a few years now and has the backing of the local council and the police. Last night we took a stroll through the square to look at the bikes (and the bikers) and found the event to be the busiest we had ever seen. Look at this tacky monstrosity:

The chip shop near the pier loves the bikers cos there's always a massive queue of hungry, leather clad riders waiting to be fed.

New Lamps

They look expensive but really were'nt. They're dead heavy and lend an air of bookish-ness to the boudoir. Ideal for flicking through last months Good Housekeeping.

I love cake. There's supposed to be 8 slices in this wee deliciously moist thing. We make it 4. I upended some pyrex on it to keep it fresh while I have a bath. We will eat the rest in an hour while watching Casualty 1900 (that's if the golf is finished, stupid golf).
