What do you want to be when you grow up? .......Happy. I'm 38 tomorrow. When my Dad was 38 I was 14. For my 14th birthday I received the Ramones album 'Leave Home' and a border collie puppy which I named Sheena ('Sheena Is A Punk Rocker' being my favourite track on that album). If I had a 14 year old son with a birthday tomorrow I would buy him that Ramones album and get him a rescue dog from Battersea.

The erection of the 2012 tree is complete. It's a 3ft white plastic spruce donated by the Norwegian people in gratitude for visiting their fjords earlier this year. We've gone for a woodland/disco theme and, in lieu of a fairy/star on top, there is a rustic animal shelter where elks and hedgehogs will rest after dancing to the rubbish tunes spun by *drumroll* Dr Fox.

Spent today exploring luxury hotels. St Regis, Dusit, Four Seasons and Grand Hyatt. All lovely but Four Seasons was the winner.

Had Thai for lunch so dinner was at Tony Romas. Ribs were delicious. They put us in a private dining room high up above Sukhumvit. Coulda been NYC or Tokyo thru those windows.
